Geordie Shepherd completed his BFA in 1991 at Concordia University in Montréal.
In 1995 he participated in the Narrative and Story telling residency at the Banff Arts Centre and also received the Brucebo Canadian-Scandinavian Award.
In 2000 he exhibited in the 9e Biennale de Céramique and began a MFA in sculpture at the University of New Mexico , Albuquerque , USA .
After completing his degree in 2004, Geordie returned to Montreal and worked as assistant to the artist Yehouda Chaki. He became and continues to work as the Administrative Director of the corporate art collection, Colart Collection.
Geordie's art practice uses ceramics, painting and writing to explore humanistic narratives of the essence of self and of things both fictional and real. He has exhibited across Canada , United States and Europe. He currently lives and works in Montréal , Quebec.
