Memory
As I watched my Mother slowly suffer the effects of dementia, I realized that Memory was not just a thing something that happened, but was integral to our identity and sense of self, and its loss profoundly affected everything. At the time I couldn't process it's meaning, and only later began this work using memories to tell stories in ceramics and drawing. Throughout the process, I cycled through hopes, regrets, fears, desires and many others that made up my adolescence when I began the process of finding myself just as my mother began to lose hers.
