This work took place at the University of New Mexico during my graduate studies and involved objects, performances and ephemeral Land Art across the S.W. USA. Early sculptures were an existential questioning of the meaning of "Nothing", a process of gradually reduced all artistic tools to the bare minimum and revealing any remaining artistic value. The notion of "Something" crept into the work in its final stages, and is evident in the piece “Beyond Nothing”, where a sliver of Nothing grows into Something.
